Our Roots

Branch House is the legacy of Reverend James and Reverend Gloria White. In 1982, James and Gloria founded The Valley Christian Assembly, serving their small community of Emmett, Idaho for 32 years, until James’ death in 2014. Before her retirement in the summer of 2025, Gloria decided that VCA would shift from a strictly faith-based organization into Branch House, which would emphasize partnerships and direct community support throughout the Treasure Valley. VCA was officially dissolved in 2026, and Branch House was born.

A man and woman are standing outdoors near a tree, smiling at each other. The man has gray hair and is wearing a white short-sleeve shirt and dark pants. The woman has curly hair and is wearing a white blouse and dark pants. They are embracing with the man's arm around the woman's shoulders. The background includes a green tree and a wooden fence.
